Think you have what it takes to conquer the Reel Trivia Quizbowl? Then join Upper Sandusky Community Library staff as they present a trivia game for teens and adults featuring movie trivia from across the decades.

Get your family outside to stretch their legs, read a book, and solve a puzzle with Coded StoryWalk®.

The book for February is Baking Day at Grandma’s by Anika Aldamuy Denise and illustrated by Christopher Denise. “Three bouncing little bear siblings, wrapped tight in their winter clothes, can't wait to tromp through the snow for Baking Day at Grandma's! In a rhyming text that begs to be sung, the bears and their grandma pour and mix and stir--with breaks for hot cocoa and dancing--to create the perfect wintry treat.”

Tech Connect is a new program at the Upper Sandusky Community Library where staff will assist library patrons with their technology questions every Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. Patrons should come prepared with their device (phone, tablet, laptop, etc.), a charge cord, and necessary usernames and passwords.

Wyandot County Public Health will continue its monthly series of health-related programs at the Upper Sandusky Community Library on February 9 with “The Pulse on Heart Health.”

Wyandot County Public Health nurse Beth Bower and Wyandot Memorial Hospital’s Director of Wellness Services Sheri Clouse will discuss what makes our hearts tick and will educate attendees about heart diseases and treatments.

It’s a Galentine’s Craft Party! Munch on snacks and cider while making a “Love on a Silver Platter” display piece and a crochet rose key chain. There will be games and prizes, so sign-up and bring a friend.

The Craft Party will be held in the large meeting room at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 10. Registration is required and begins Monday, January 31. Sign up in person at the library or call at 419-294-1345 to reserve a spot. Space is limited.

Craft Party is a monthly program for adults that occurs on the second Thursday at 6:00 p.m.

Common Readers will be reading “The Soul of America: The Battle for Our Better Angels” by Jon Meacham for February.

Pulitzer Prize-winning author Jon Meacham looks at critical times in the nation’s history when hope overcame division and fear in order to better understand the present moment in American politics. Copies of the book are available for checkout at the library in regular print, large print, and book on CD. The book is also available as an ebook and audiobook on Libby.

Get in on the program all kids love to do. Kids Can Cook, run by Youth Services Coordinator Jill Stansbery, is a program that teaches children basic cooking skills.

For February, kids will learn how to make mac ‘n cheese – and learn different ways to change it up! Kids Can Cook is intended for students in grades K-5. The hour-long program will be offered at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 17. Space is limited and registration is required. Sign up for the program begins Monday, February 7.
