Learn what the library can offer to help you teach your children

The Upper Sandusky Community Library has a ton of resources, but do you know how it can help you educate your children?

Join library staff at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 30 for the Homeschool & Teacher Open House. Designed with teachers and homeschool parents in mind, this program will highlight the resources available at the library that you can use in your teachings. Spanning from Adventure Central items to the Quest Collection to online databases and more, staff will show you items to use that will help your children in their educational journey.

Have an afternoon of fun at That Thursday Thing

Got plans after school? Then join Miss Lisa and Miss Jill each week for That Thursday Thing.

This weekly afternoon program is for students in kindergarten through 12th grade. It takes place from 3:00-4:00 p.m. every Thursday from September through May. Miss Lisa and Miss Jill plan fun, interactive games, crafts, and activities for kids while making learning fun.

Join Miss Jill for Tiny Tots and Preschool StoryTime

Join Miss Jill in September for the triumphant return of Tiny Tots and Preschool StoryTime!

Tiny Tots StoryTime is an energetic program designed for children ages newborn to 3 years old and their caregiver. It will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Mondays, 5:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, and 11:00 a.m. on Wednesdays.

Preschool StoryTime is a fun, interactive program which includes a science experiment for ages 3 to 6. It will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Mondays.

USCL to close early on Aug. 19

The Upper Sandusky Community Library will close early on Thursday, August 19 for a staff in-service workshop.

The business hours for August 19 will be 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The library will return to its regular business hours on Friday, August 20.

Coded StoryWalk® - Birdie's First Day of School

Get your family outside to stretch their legs, read a book, and solve a puzzle with StoryWalk®: Coded Tales.

The book for August is Birdie’s First Day of School by Sujean Rim. “Tomorrow is Birdie's first day of school and she is just SO nervous. What will her teacher be like? What should she bring?
