Friends of the Library

Library staff plan and schedule opportunities and programs for adults at Upper Sandusky Community Library.

Upper Sandusky Community Library hosts two monthly book clubs. Copies of the monthly books are available upon request at the front desk in a variety of formats. The full list of past books read and the current schedules can be accessed below. 

The Upper Sandusky Community Library is committed to providing library materials and information to all residents in its service area. Part of that responsibility includes delivery of library materials to patrons who are unable to visit the library due to illness, disability, or lack of transportation.  

Upper Sandusky Community Library has a large collection of cookbooks available for the residents of its service area. The library also offers two regular culinary programs: Lunch Bunch and Taste of . . . 

Lunch Bunch, led by Cheryl Lyon, meets on the fourth Monday of every month at noon in the library's large meeting room to discuss recipes and enjoy a potluck featuring foods from a theme selected by the group each month. 

The themes for 2024 are: 

Jill Stansbery, Youth Services Coordinator, and Lisa Andres, Youth Services Specialist, plan and lead activities for the children and youth of our community. These activities include:

That Thursday Thing for students in grades K-12 meets from 3:00-4:00 p.m. on Thursdays from September through May. Jill Stansbery and Lisa Andres plan fun, interactive games, crafts, and  activities for high energy kids while making learning fun.

STEAMpunks is USCL's Library youth group for students in grades 6-12 with the mission of promoting healthy, happy, and productive citizens by providing youth development opportunities. Led by Youth Services Specialist Lisa Andres, members take an active role in planning and executing activities, and earn opportunities for community service at USCL. The group meets on the second Monday of the month at 5:30 p.m.
