Take a journey into the night sky with the Armstrong Air & Space Museum and learn the tales – or tails – that can be found up there.
A representative from the Armstrong Air & Space Museum will present Tails or Tales of the Night Sky at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 3 in the Upper Sandusky Community Library’s large meeting room. Journey through the night sky and learn about the tales of the constellations as well as the wonderous animals drawn in the stars. Participants will connect the dots and learn how different cultures share unique stories of those constellations and the images found there.
Families who attend the program will receive one COSI Connects Learning Lunchbox as part of the Ohio Distance Learning Initiative. This COSI-led program collaborates with libraries, museums, meal providers, and cultural institutions in Ohio to deliver 50,000 free, hands-on learning kits to families. The themed kits include five activities that promote science, technology, engineering, arts, math, culture, history, and more. The kit being handed out at the Tails or Tales of the Night Sky program will feature space as its specific theme and was created in partnership with NASA.
