Do you have a favorite reading genre, but no one to talk about it with? Then make way for the Inglorious Bookworms Book Club. Each month the book club will feature a different genre that you can dive into or skip.

The Inglorious Bookworms will be reading the science fiction novel “A Psalm for the Wild-Built” by Becky Chambers in February. “Centuries before, robots of Panga gained self-awareness, laid down their tools, wandered en masse into the wilderness, never to be seen again. They faded into myth and urban legend. Now the life of the tea monk who tells this story is upended by the arrival of a robot, there to honor the old promise of checking in. The robot cannot go back until the question of ‘what do people need?’ is answered. But the answer to that question depends on who you ask, and how. They will need to ask it a lot.”

The discussion will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 22 in the library’s large meeting room. Copies of the book are available upon request at the library’s front desk. It is also available as an ebook and digital audiobook on Libby and as an audiobook on hoopla.
